Magic of Indian Dance, Music & Storytelling
Early Childhood (Ages 3 - 5) September 29, 2021 – January 26, 2022 (14 classes) Wednesdays - 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm Children are introduced to different movements, sounds, instruments, mythological tales, hand props, the fundamentals of Indian classical/folk techniques, hand gestures, postures, expressions and balance thus exposing them to the wide spectrum of performing arts with particular focus on the music, drama and movement techniques rooted in India. Students are exposed to a range of Indian dance styles, covering genres of classical, folk and Bollywood. The course is taught based on each child’s ability to learn, grow and express themselves. The aim is to instill a deep love for learning and respect for the performing arts. |

Introduction to Indian Choreographed Dance
Elementary (Ages 6 - 12) October 8, 2021 – January 21, 2022 (11 classes) Fridays 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm Children learn the fundamentals and intricacies of traditional and contemporary dance techniques, coordination, balance along with a choreographed dance to music. Choreography may be based on one song or a medley of Indian music ranging in genre from classical, folk to contemporary/popular/Bollywood.

IMPORTANT
- Session registration fee of $15 OR full-year registration fee of $30 is mandatory.
- If costumes are used, there will be an additional cost of $40. Pre-order special stage costumes (recommended for performing teams at special events)
- Surati T-shirts are $25, which are mandatory for performances. Toddlers (2T, 3T, 4T and 5T) | Youth (XS, S, M, L, XL)
- No Classes for Early Childhood Group (Wednesdays) - November 24, December 22, and December 29 (Make up Class Feb 2)
- No Classes for Elementary Group (Fridays) Group - November 5, November 12, November 26, December 24, December 31, January 28 (Make up Class Feb 4)
