Initially
trained by Shri Adityasena Rajkumar, she is now a senior disciple of
Late Guru Bipin Singh and Shrimati Kalavati Devi, world famous exponents
of Manipuri dance. Trained by them since 1990 she has also been a
participant of various dance festivals as an artiste of Manipuri
Nartanalaya. Sucharita is a recipient of Junior Fellowship of the
Department of Culture Government of India (2000-2002) and has conducted
workshop on Manipuri Dance at Silchar, Assam and Jalpaiguri, West
Bengal. At present she is one of the examiners of Manipuri Dance in
Rabindra Bharati University.
